Wayfaring Stranger

The Wayfaring Stranger is an American folk song, made famous by Johnny Cash, Eva Cassidy and many others.
Vocals: Sarah
Rearrangement: Joep Sporck
Recorded: Joep Sporck

My favorite version of this song is by Rhiannon Giddens, which you can find here. Other beautiful versions are by Emmylou Harris and Eva Cassidy.

Recently this song was sung in the movie 1917, right before the men are sent into an ambush (sung by Jos Slovick). The song is about a lost soul, traveling through life. It's often associated with a soldier who's about to die.

This recording was made by Joep Sporck, who is a composer for film, tv and media.
